I am almost done with my second day at my internship with Central Christian Church, time has flown these past two days... "time flies when you are having fun!"
Thanks for all the prayers, my first day was FABulous! I met a TON of people, walked all over the massive church building- a few times, and was blessed to have been apart of 10 adult baptisms and 1 child baptism after service!! Praise God for new family members!
Las Vegas is beautiful! Its hot but a dry hot... I am beginning to see and feel in my skin the affects of such "dry heat"! I am slightly afraid that from here it will only continue to get worse with my hair and skin. However the benefits of such heat is the lack of sweat! I later recalled my day spent on the Strip with my mother and realized that we didn't sweat at all! Its kinda weird, I have grown up with the basic principle that when you are really hot = your will most likely sweat... In addition, to this heat I am learning about the need for hydration... I am quickly learning that I need to be more conscious of my water intake than I have ever before! Please pray that I am reminded daily to drink TONS of water!!
This weekend will be busy! Saturday I will help with baptisms again (YAY!) and then Sunday I get to help set up Communion. Starting next Saturday I will be in charge of Communion set up for each Saturday night service, big responsibilities setting in early! On the main campus, Henderson Campus, we have 2 services Saturday, 4:30pm and 6:00pm, Sundays we have 3 services, 9:00am, 10:20am and 11:45am. I will often be stationed in the Guest Central room after each service, to meet and greet new guests! I have my own desk, 2 main keys, a fancy badge with my picture and a bar code, and a code to get into the building! I am feeling very "Central Official"!
Fridays are my days off, PLEASE feel free to call me!! Remember though, I am three hours behind all Michiganders, so please don't call me at 6am - 9am Michigan time!

Hey Carianne! Good to see you are doing well in Vegas. It's funny to hear about you adjusting to the weather. I remember going through that when I moved down south as well.

Joey! I have not had In-N-Out yet, its definitely on my to-do list though! I have heard SO much about how good that place is!! I am getting better with drinking more water and my skin is feeling much better, yay!! :-D
